Pultec Plugin

• The Pulse-Tec EQs includes the legendary Pultec Mid-Range Equalizer MEQ-5 and the well known Pultec Program Equalizer EQP-1A into a single high quality plug-in, the PULSE-TEC EQs. The PulseTec EQs sections can be enabled or disabled individually or used simultaneously for full range analog equalizations. We added an analog Pre-Amp section which adds an Input Level and Output Level controls as.
• This PTM-5A plugin is based on, and models, the classic MEQ-5 mid-range Pultec EQ. This plugin emulates the passive filter characteristics of the original, which is aimed at several mastering and mixing applications. Enhancing the mid range of an overall mix with a Pultec of this fashion for example, can be very musical and provide that often.

Tobias Lindell took the experience he gained mixing and producing hit records and created a line of hardware audio products that became instant favorites with producers and engineers around the world. Now, some of Tobias’ favorite designs are available in plugin form.
Lindell’s PEX-500 hardware unit is a mono transformer-coupled Passive Pultec style equalizer. Its all-discrete design is based upon Lindell’s hybrid amplifier providing 15dB boost of smooth silky high end and the punchiest low end you’re likely to find.
The Lindell PEX-500 is Tobias Lindell’s take on the classic Pultec Equalizer. Along with unique features closely associated with Pultec EQs, including the ability to simultaneously cut and boost a given frequency, the PEX-500 plugin also includes a few extra tricks not found on the original hardware like additional high frequency selections and a Mid/Side (M/S) matrix.
The PEX-500 plugin is a faithful emulation of this magic hardware unit, capturing that classic Pultec sound while adding features not found in the original Lindell hardware, including stereo operation, a Mid/Side matrix, and additional high frequency selections.

• Subtly Removes Harshness

  I love how subtle the high attenuator is for removing harshness off of instruments, especially cymbals. That feature alone is worth getting.
